C.L. Patel is no more.

Biography An inspiring, dynamic, multi-faceted and mercurial personality. His distinctiveness lies in his visionary outloolk and missionary zeal towards the development of education in general, and higher education in particular, in the heartland of rural Gujarat in India. In a short span of just one decade this visionary personality has not just created several new institutions but has carved out an entire new township called New Vallabh Vidyanagar with a view to globalizing Indian higher education. 

He has thereby emerged as a stalwart in the field of education in India His visionary outlook promoted and encouraged innovative courses and programs in the faculties of Arts, Fine Arts, Science, Technology, Pharmacy, Commerce, Management, Education, etc. He has been instrumental in offering courses and programs at undergraduate and post graduate levels like Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, Bio Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Bio technology, E- Commerce and E-Business, Information Technology Management, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Valuation in Real Estate, Plant and Machinery, Integrated Program in Arts and Education, Physical Education, Ayurvedic Medicine, etc. Over last one decade he has been instrumental in generating direct employment benefiting over 500 families, thereby providing them an opportunity to contribute to societal development. The creation of a new educational township and establishment of several new institutions have had a catalytic impact on the development of the region resulting in rapic expansion and growth of small and medium enterprises in the vicinity
